Manzilo is a property management platform for landlords, property managers, tenants, and vendors across the GCC. This page explains what information we collect when you use Manzilo, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using the platform, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect and how we use it
To run the platform, we collect information you give us directly — your name, contact details, company information, identity documents (such as Emirates ID copies) needed for tenancy registration, and details about the properties and units you manage. We also collect information generated as you use Manzilo: messages exchanged through our WhatsApp integration, maintenance requests, payment records, and basic technical data like IP address and device type. We use this information to run the service, send the notifications you've configured (rent reminders, maintenance updates, lease renewals), comply with UAE regulatory requirements such as Ejari registration, and keep the platform secure.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing. We share what's necessary with the people involved in your workflows — your property manager sees the tenant's request, your assigned vendor sees the job brief — and with government authorities when required by law (for example, the Dubai Land Department for Ejari). Manzilo uses the WhatsApp Business Platform from Meta to deliver messages; Meta's own terms apply to the underlying transport.
How we protect it and your rights
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access, and regular audits. Our handling of personal data is aligned with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and the equivalent local laws in the other GCC markets we operate in. Emirates ID copies and other identity documents are retained only for as long as your tenancy is active, plus any statutory record-keeping period, with access limited to staff who need them for operational reasons.
You can request a copy of your personal data, correct anything that's wrong, delete it (subject to legal retention rules), or restrict how we process it. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask anything about this policy, email privacy@manzilo.com.
